Úrscéal é seo atá suite i gcathair na Gaillimhe mar a bhí agus mar atá ach is é an seanscéal ón Rúraíocht faoin mhacaomh óg, Etarcumal, a rinne iarracht troid a chur ar Chú Chulainn b’ábhar ionspioráide dó. Lón intinne don léitheoir is ea na seoda eolais atá ann faoi litriocht an Gaeilge, litriocht an domhain agus a lán eile. Scríbhneoir cónaitheach in Ollscoil na Gaillimhe is ea an t-údar agus is é seo an t-ochtú úrscéal uaidh.
The events of this novel takes place in the city of Galway, as it is today and as it was, but the source of inspiration for it comes from the story from the Ulster Cycle which describes the fate of the young boy Etarcumal who tried to engage Cuchulainn in a duel. This, the author’s eighth novel contains a wealth of information about Irish and world literature and much more.
