Baba – Ji agus T na G
Seachrán san India
Manchán Magan
Coiscéim 2005

Is é an bhliain 1996 é, agus tá stáisiúin teilifíse Gaeilge á bhunú. Ag an am céanna, i mbothán suarach go hard sna Himiléithe, tá Éireannach óg seachmallach ag caitheamh saol an díthreabhaigh, ag ól a chuid múin agus ag éisteacht le cór ainglí laistigh dá cheann. An bhféadfadh gurb é an buachaill mearaithe leochaileach seo todhchaí an Gaeilge?
Téann a dheartháir mór amach ar turas le fóirithint air.
Tugann se ceamara agus micreafón ina theannta, agus is mar seo a thosaíonn traidisiún oirirc an gcláracha taistil ar TG4.

It is 1996, and a last-ditch attempt to save the Irish language from the clutches of extinction is underway. £12 million is being spent on a new television station, in the hope that it can resuscitate the language and remould its peasant past for the modern age.
Meanwhile, in a hovel high in the Himalayas, a deranged young Irishman is living a hermit’s life, drinking his own urine and listening to a choir of angels in his head. Could this deluded, fragile young man be the future of Irish? Can he adapt this ancient, primitive language to the chaotic thoughts in his head?
His elder and more sensible brother goes out to rescue him.
He brings a camera and a microphone, and thus begins the acclaimed tradition of travel programmes on TG4.
