This is a novel from a writer who has already written many Irish language books. As can be seen from the title, it concerns a kind of person rarely seen these days, but was common in the early years of the last century. A shopkeeper who dominated a large section of the public because they owed him money and used that as leverage for his own ends. However, his misconduct was about to come to an end in an unexpected way which left the people in the district and the authorities with a problem to solve.
