Sa chéad chnuasach filíochta seo tugann Eileen aghaidh ar dúshláin an tsaoil agus gach a mbaineann leo. Sa chaibidil deireanach “Spraoi Faoin bhFarraige filleann Eileen ar a teanga dúchais agus léiríonn sí rithim álainn na Gaeilge le linnte fíor chruthaitheach.

Eileen was a Primary School Teacher in Dublin and in Naas for many  years. She retired from her teaching career due to ill health in 1996. She lives in Naas  with her husband son and daughter. In her first poetry collection, Fighting The Dragon, Eileen McKeon faces life and all its challenges, its joys and its sorrows, its gifts and its takings, with true courage and honesty. I the final section “Spraoi Faoin bhFarraige”, Eileen returns to the language of her ancestors and captures the true beauty of rhythm and language in memorable lines that resonate on the winds of creativity and memory. Eileen a native Irish speaker from Corca Dhuibhne in County Kerry, writes in a voice so pure, so ancient that it connects right back to the Tuatha De Danaan…………Ann Egan
