This is the third pamphlet in the series Aimsir Óg dealing with the status of Irish in contemporary Ireland. The author describes it as a tour around aspects of the language, and the conceptions people had and have of the language. He concludes with some recommendations, which could give rise to debate. A version of this paper was given at the Merriman School in 2000 and a revised version was published in the May edition of Comhar the same year. This version has been revised further
