The author draws on stories from the past as he writes about his youth in Dublin in the middle of the last century. These are not stories about mythology or romance or about the good times of long ago, the truth is sometimes bitter and sometimes sweet. bad times, sorrow and disaster which were common in society are not hidden.
From there he goes on to the realm of fiction, relationships between generations, the challenges of technology, even space travel etc. as his subjects which make for humorous and thought provoking reading.
