An chuid is coitianta de stór focal na Nua Ghaeilge á míniú i mBéarla agus neart samplaí dá n-úsáid.
Standardised Irish-English dictionary featuring living Gaeltacht speech, the literary tradition, and new technical terms. Alternative forms included.
Generous exemplary phrases and grammatical information. Indispensable to student, writer, or general reader.
Alexey Eberhardt –
I know, this is the ultimative dictionary and a must have. The best and the fullest dictionary.
positive
– very big
– a lot of examples
– verbal nouns are listed with the corresponding verbs
– grammatical forms for all nouns
But I want to share about it shortcomings:
– no declension types (but every entry has grammatical forms). I think, that declension type is important when you learn the language.
– no transcription. That would be awesome!
– font of examples is not that good and are hard to read
– print quality is bad. Some pages are hard to read because of the bad print quality
– no grammar information, no tables, no placenames etc. Just the dictionary and a preface
