Best known for his fiction writing, Joe Steve Ó Neachtain is well-known and loved for his novels, short stories, poetry and plays as well as his long-running role in TG4’s soap Ros na Rún. In this collection, however, – lectures, speeches, and talks give over the past twenty years – Joe Steve tackles some of the topics that are closest to his heart in the Gaeltacht and throughout Ireland.

Included in these speeches we learn more about Joe Steve’s childhood growing up in Connemara, his views on the status of the Gaeltacht in modern Ireland, community development and his views on writing.
