Leabhar nua thábhachtach a thugann chun cuimhne seachtar fear a chuir údaráis na Breataine chun báis i bPríosún Chill Mhaighneáin tar éis Éirí Amach na Cásca 1916. Is minic ómós tugtha don seachtar ceannairí a daoradh agus a cuireadh chun báis ar dtús ach tá a scéal féin ag gach duine den seachtar, scéal a fágadh ar lár go minic agus eachtraí corracha na tréimhse sin á meas agus á gcomóradh. Ba leor a síniú ar an bhforógra chun an seachtar ceannairí sin a dhaoradh ach tá scéal níos casta le hinsint i gcás an tseachtair eile a cuireadh chun báis ina ndiaidh ar minic iad ligthe i ndearmad sa gcur síos ar an Éirí Amach agus ar tharla ina dhiaidh. Seo anois é an scéal sin, faoi gach duine den seachtar:

On the evening of Sunday, the 30th April, 1916, the last of the Dublin rebels to surrender after the Easter Rising were rounded up and escorted to Richmond barracks. Over the following two weeks, fourteen of them would be executed by firing squad in Kilmainham Gaol. Seven of the executed men had signed their own death warrant by putting their names to the Proclamation of the Irish Republic, but the other seven were executed for more obscure reasons. Some of them were well known to Dublin Castle, others had played a central role in the fighting. In certain cases, the British Empire was settling scores against old enemies, and others were simply victims of circumstance. This is their story…..
